Day 2: birth mark removal; day 14: oil pulling!

I have made it two weeks pulling coconut oil... I am very pleased with the results and plan to continue doing that as part of my regular health and hygiene routine.
I began using the coconut oil on my large birthmark on my stomach just yesterday. I have not noticed a difference as of yet but obviously it is way too soon to tell. I will be posting pictures every day of my belly, just don't you mind my pudge :-)

My belly is shiny in this pic bc I took it after applying the oil. Doh! Rookie mistake.

Oil pulling & as a salve

I decided after reading that coconut oil has so many other benefits, I'd like to see what else it can do for me.
I have a large red birthmark on my stomach, which you will see in the picture below. After reading that coconut oil can help make birth marks less noticeable, or even eliminate them completely, it couldn't hurt to try! So, here I am! Let's see how it goes...

Oil pulling: day 11

Has anybody else experienced anything odd or extraordinary while doing this yet? I'm premenstrual right now and I can tell you: normally I'm bloated, extremely emotional, sore in the chest area, sometimes crampy, always get ONE ZIT, am fatigued, and eat everything in sight whether I'm hungry, craving it, or not.
I have only a slightly sore chest, which honestly I'm barely noticing. I have a ton of energy, am sleeping well, have no cravings...
I have always taken birth control pills to help regulate my hormones, but I've always had symptoms of a raging uterus for an entire week, to the day, before what I fondly refer to as: shark week. Right now? Nothing. Not even that nasty zit I've always acquired without fail since I was 10 years old.
I blame the oil :-)

More on oil pulling :-)

Day 10: I never thought I'd make it this far (and be so consistent). I've been reading up on this oil pulling business just about every day.. I found this article particularly enlightening, and think anyone who is looking for a comprehensive insight into oil pulling should give it a read. Let's talk about it!

***EDIT: I came across this site today with over 100 uses for coconut oil... including healing bruises, burns,  deodorant, EYE MAKEUP REMOVER, sunscreen, many uses for pets (there's a whole section dedicated solely to them!), eliminating BIRTHMARKS?!? -- This one I was most excited about. I'm going to start putting it on my birthmark and see if there's any difference.. those of you who know me well, know that I have a very large red birthmark on the right side of my stomach. Not that it bothers me, but of course I get a lot of stares and questions asked that are really just more annoying than anything. WE SHALL SEE!!!

Today was day 8 of oil pulling. I am very excited to see where this takes me because I learned today that about 5 more people have tried it after seeing and heating of my success with it. I continue to learn more and more every day. The benefits and possibilities seen endless!

Today i noticed a difference in my gums on my bottom teeth. I've had gingivitis inn my lower gums (see teeth..it's like a war zone down there!) and no matter how much flossing, mouthwash, etc, the swelling of my gums never seemed to go down. I don't think they've ever looked like this before...  you know... flat?! I can't believe I've gone my entire life with this issue, which honestly never bothered me per se bc I never really noticed it or knew the difference. Now I can SEE a difference and my mouth feels healthier overall. Very pleased, I am!

Please keep me posted on how you are doing and what your experiences are. It's been fun sharing with everyone so far, especially those I get to see in person! :-)

Rock on, pullers!

Oil pulling

I guess what I'd really like to do here is to share information... So here's where I started. And where I will continue!

I had no idea when I clicked on this link that was shared by a friend of mine, Dorothy Healey, that I would receive such a great response and create an interest in something that I was at first skeptical of. Not that I was skeptical of getting any kind of result. No. That wasn't it at all. I was skeptical of the vast benefits that could be obtained by something so simple and something I never would have come up with on my own.
I hope you all will share your stories here with me as I go through this, because it makes it a lot easier and much more fun for us all :) If there's anything else you'd like me to try and post about, please share!

My first week of Oil Pulling!

Oil pulling: day 1
http://www.fashionlush.com/wtf-is-oil-pulling-why-im-hooked/

Oil pulling: day 2 part 1
My sinuses are clearer (been sick for weeks and on crazy meds)
Mouth feels smooth and CLEAN
I didn't wake up more than once in a coughing fit last night, which has been pretty standard for two weeks now.
Not sure if it's related but my symptoms have been pretty consistent for two weeks.

Oil pulling: day 3
Mouth feels very clean alllll day long even after eating.
Sinuses continue to be clear.
Coughing not as bad.
Noticing a slight color change, mostly on back teeth that you unfortunately can't see in this picture.

Oil pulling: day 4.

Last night I didn't have to wake up for my inhaler or a breathing treatment. In fact, I haven't needed either one in about 16hrs, which is 4 treatments that I've now skipped. That is HUGE for me. I'd love to hear how YOU are doing!

Oil pulling: Day 5
Continued results in sinuses, teeth appear to be glowing (?!!), much better in the bronchitis department.

Oil pulling: Day 6.
Totally took this at work lol had to pull on the way to work today. I didn't cough at all while pulling today, so I'm definitely getting better! Normally I cough half way through from a mucus build up at the back of my throat and have to spit and continue with new oil.. today was great!

Oil pulling: day 7
I made it one whole week!
Noticeably whiter teeth, cough is barely a thing compared to how I usually feel (for weeks) after a bout of bronchitis. I am extremely pleased with the quick results! And am very upset that no doctor has ever recommended this to me after seeing how much I suffer every time I get the slightest cold. Shame on you, doctors!

More information I found today: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_pulling -- would like to check these sources!! Anybody who has the chance to read more, please share away! :)
I also found this link, which gives information on how/when to pull, different oils you can use aside from coconut, different benefits... etc etc etc JUST READ IT! :):
